Joe Biden has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, confirmed Biden's diagnosis in a statement released Thursday. She also noted that the president is only suffering mild symptoms.
Jean-Pierre revealed that President Biden is taking Paxlovid and would be isolated in accordance with CDC recommendations. According to reports, he will be placed in isolation until he receives negative test results, which could take up to 90 days after the initial positive test. In spite of his vaccination and subsequent booster shots, the results of the test came back positive.
After the positive COVID-19 test, Biden uploaded a picture of himself working from the Oval Office to show that he is "doing terrific" and "staying busy." The President later assured the public that all is well in a video message posted to YouTube.

A year ago, on CNN, Biden falsely assured the American people by telling them they will not get COVID-19 if they get vaccinated. A new diagnosis seems to disprove his earlier claim, casting doubt on the administration's steadfast attitude and unrelenting drive for coronavirus immunizations and boosters.
It was one year ago today that Biden said this quote: "You're not going to get covid if you have these vaccinations."

After Biden's diagnosis was revealed, the 45th President sent his announcement.
Trump said he expects Biden will make a speedy recovery, just as he did in 2020, in a statement released on Thursday. Even after multiple vaccinations and boosts, the former president noted that Biden had evidently contracted COVID-19. It is imperative that Biden get well, Trump said, because nobody wants Kamala Harris to be president.
