Because it was discovered that Iran had never actually halted its efforts to spread nuclear technology, the accord was a dismal failure.
In contrast, the administration of the former President Trump dealt with Iran with an iron fist, relying on unyielding force and economic warfare to prevent the Iranian regime from moving through with their goal to construct a nuclear weapon, and it was successful.
