Rep. Cori Bush, a Democrat from Missouri, has spent close to half a million dollars on security details during the recent election campaign, despite her efforts to reduce funding for local law enforcement.
According to FOX News Digital, Bush has now directed more than $490,000 into private security for the 2022 election cycle. [Citation needed]

In a recent interview on Good Morning America, President Bush was quoted as saying, The thing about defunding the police is that we have to convey the complete narrative. FOX News Digital reported that this information. People hear calls to cut funding for the police. But are you aware of the responses you can expect? Say "reallocate," "divest," and "move" in quick succession. But in the end, it amounts to the same thing.
She went on to say that we must not become preoccupied with the words. People in this country spend more time obsessing over the word "defund" than they do thinking about and working to solve the issue of a lack of funding for police forces.
Bush was asked by Don Lemon of CNN about how the campaign to defund law enforcement could be detrimental to Democrats in the next midterm elections. After that, he inquired of Mrs. Bush whether or not she would back another attempt to defund the police department, knowing full well the political repercussions this would have for her party.
Lemon questioned, If you could do it all over again, would you continue to double down, or would you still use that slogan, 'defund the police'?
