In response to the growing conflict in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump warned that it could get out of control.
On Wednesday, the German and US governments promised to send over 30 battle tanks to Ukraine. These include M1 tanks and Leopard 2 armored vehicles.
"US Vice President Joe Biden said that Russia's Vladimir Putin was wrong when he claimed that the US and Europe would weaken their resolve. The goal of the military aid to Ukraine is to protect its soil."
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin's press secretary, claimed that the actions of the US and Europe are directly linked to the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump was against the plan to send tanks and other military equipment to Ukraine. In a statement posted on his social media accounts, he said that the war should be stopped immediately.

Despite Trump's statements against escalating the situation in Ukraine, the country's government is still pushing for the West to provide it with fighter jets. An adviser to the defense minister noted that the acquisition of fighter planes would give the country an advantage on the battlefield.
According to the government's official, the country is still optimistic about receiving the weapons. He noted that the West has already given the country various types of weapons, such as artillery and tanks, and that there is nothing left that it cannot acquire.
"Some Western countries believe that giving Ukraine all the equipment it asked for during the initial stages of the war would provoke a strong reaction from Russia. A senior US diplomat noted that the country would only receive fighter jets once Putin has adjusted to the weapons."

In 2017, Trump said that it would be easy for the US to be tough on Russia. However, then, there would be no chance of "making a deal" with them.
"In response to a question, Trump stated that he would do the right thing by the American people if he and Russia were to get along. However, he noted that there was no point in fighting because both countries are very powerful nuclear nations."
Trump: I want to do the right thing for the American people, and to be honest, secondarily, I want to do the right thing for the world. Don’t forget, we're a very powerful nuclear country, and so are they [Russia]. There's no upside.

He was one of the very very few voices of reason in Washington. Which is why they colluded to have him kicked out and why we must send him back in. https://t.co/AX6BDo3UPy
