Michigan’s liberal governor Gretchen Whitmer made her third trip to beg President Trump for help this year. The Democrat who spent years attacking Trump is now crawling back to the White House when her state needs saving.
Whitmer complained to Trump about his tariffs hurting Michigan’s auto industry. But these same tariffs are bringing jobs back to America and making us energy independent again. She wants special treatment for her failing liberal policies.
The governor also whined about Medicaid cuts that could cost Michigan hundreds of millions of dollars. This is what happens when Democrats create unsustainable welfare programs that taxpayers can’t afford. Now she expects Trump to bail out her bloated government spending.
Whitmer begged for three years to phase in the Medicaid changes so Michigan won’t lose federal money. She’s asking hardworking Americans in other states to keep funding her liberal handout programs. This is exactly the swamp behavior Trump promised to drain.
The governor also asked Trump to help find businesses for an empty factory site in Genesee County. A massive semiconductor plant fell through under her watch. Now she needs Trump’s business connections to fix her economic failures.
This is the same Gretchen Whitmer who locked down Michigan during COVID while her state’s economy collapsed. She fought Trump every step of the way when he was trying to reopen America. Now she comes running when she needs help.
Republican Representative Lisa McClain called this whole situation sad and she’s absolutely right. Whitmer spent years being a Trump hater and resistance fighter. Now she’s pretending to work with him when it benefits her politically.
The truth is clear for every American to see. Liberal governors like Whitmer create disasters with their failed policies. Then they come begging to conservative leaders like Trump to clean up their mess.
