Under the old editors, web traffic dropped and staff left in droves because readers got sick of their constant political attacks. Now Guiducci is trying to save the failing magazine by actually representing all Americans, not just coastal elites.
The triggered staff can’t handle the idea that their precious magazine might show respect to Donald Trump’s wife. Half the editorial team is threatening to quit their jobs rather than do basic journalism. These are the same people who claim to believe in diversity and inclusion, but only when it fits their narrow political views.
Melania Trump represents everything these liberal snobs hate about real America. She’s an immigrant success story who became First Lady through hard work and grace. But because she married Donald Trump, the media treats her like she’s some kind of villain instead of celebrating her achievements.
The irony is thick here because these same journalists spent years complaining that Melania didn’t get enough magazine covers. Now when someone finally wants to give her the respect she deserves, they’re having tantrums like spoiled children. You can’t make this stuff up.
