A young Ukrainian woman came to America seeking safety from war. Instead, Iryna Zarutska found death on a Charlotte train when a career criminal stabbed her to death for no reason. She was just 23 years old and texted her boyfriend she would be home soon before a monster took her life.
The killer had been arrested 14 times in 12 years but was still walking free. He spent five years in prison for armed robbery but liberal policies put him back on the streets. This was completely preventable if our justice system actually worked to protect innocent people.
But instead of demanding justice, CNN decided to attack conservatives who want answers. Van Jones accused the right of race mongering for asking why this criminal was free to kill. CNN panelists made excuses about mental illness instead of focusing on the victim who died.
This is exactly what is wrong with liberal media today. They care more about defending criminals than protecting innocent Americans. A beautiful young woman who survived war in Ukraine died because CNN types think criminals deserve endless chances.
The suspect had no interaction with Iryna before he pulled out a knife and stabbed her three times. She was sitting in front of him minding her own business when he decided to commit murder. There was no security on the train because Democrats do not prioritize public safety.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is right to investigate Charlotte for failing to protect Iryna. If mayors cannot keep trains safe, they should not get taxpayer money. North Carolina Republicans called this attack 100 percent preventable and they are absolutely correct.
Iryna escaped bombs in Ukraine only to die from liberal policies in America. Her family is heartbroken and demanding answers about why this criminal was free to kill. Every American should be outraged that our system failed this innocent woman so badly.
CNN should be ashamed for making excuses instead of demanding justice for Iryna Zarutska. Conservative Americans will not stay silent while liberal media protects criminals over victims. This young woman deserved to live and her killer deserves the death penalty.
