Donald Trump Jr.'s tweet featuring a naked image of Hunter Biden was removed from Twitter.
The president's son posted a photo of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who was addressing Congress, along with a photo of Biden, who was next to him. The image was removed from Twitter due to its violation of the social media platform's rules.
Although Twitter did not identify the specific rule that prompted the removal of the image, the company's nudity policy explicitly prohibits the sharing of "intimate photos or videos" of people without their consent.
The altered image was used to show Biden's business transactions in Ukraine. He had joined the board of a Ukrainian energy company, and these have been the focus of allegations that he had a conflict of interest due to his involvement in illicit activities.
In the past, Twitter has also removed Biden's nudes. In 2020, the platform disabled multiple tweets that featured deepfakes of the former vice president's son. This was reportedly prompted by his campaign.
During his speech before Congress, Zelensky discussed the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. He also asked for additional assistance from the US.
