Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Darin Gaub says you can never trust Hamas to be honest. Speaking on Newsmax’s “Newsline,” he warned that the terrorist group uses innocent Palestinians as human shields while pretending to negotiate. “Israel faces a brutal enemy that hides behind women and children,” Gaub declared, urging the U.S. to back Israel’s current military campaign without hesitation.
Israel’s Army has now thrown everything into Gaza. All standing infantry brigades and even some reserve units are fighting there. Their mission: crush Hamas once and for all. Reports say recent strikes targeted rocket launchers, underground tunnels, and terrorist hideouts.
Hamas keeps lying about peace talks. While Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu offered Palestinians safe zones, Gaza’s rulers turned down a ceasefire deal tied to freeing hostages. Israeli forces took out top Hamas officials this spring – a sign the military strategy is shifting to eliminate their leadership.
Gaub strongly supports former President Trump’s approach to Gaza. He believes Trump’s no-nonsense diplomacy and financial pressure are key to rebuilding the region. “Only real power stops terrorists,” Gaub stated bluntly.
The war has caused immense suffering. Many Gazans fled to safety as Israeli jets bombed terrorist targets, but Hamas’ refusal to release hostages kept the conflict escalating. Netanyahu blamed Hamas for “choosing war over peace” and warned innocent civilians to escape the battle zones.
Meanwhile, U.S. socialist elites claim Israel’s self-defense is “disproportionate.” They ignore Hamas’ daily rockets and suicide bombers. Gaub called these critics “dangerously naive,” insisting weakness only emboldens terrorists.
To end the bloodshed, Gaub argues Israel must achieve a final military victory. Leaving Hamas even a tiny foothold ensures they’ll regroup and attack again. “Victory for Israel means security for America,” he said. “It’s time to finish the job.”
Real conservatives stand with Israel. We know radical Islam hates freedom. Republicans must lead the fight against Obama-style policies that weaken our allies. Gaub’s message is clear: now is the time to trust Israel, not Hamas.
