Trump’s Power to Deploy National Guard Under Fire from Liberal Governors

Liberal politicians like Governor Pritzker are dead wrong about President Trump’s authority to deploy the National Guard. These Democrat governors want to tie the hands of our commander-in-chief when American cities are burning and chaos rules the streets. They care more about scoring political points than protecting innocent Americans from violent mobs.

Joe diGenova knows the law better than most people in Washington. This seasoned attorney has spent decades fighting for conservative causes and defending presidential powers. When diGenova speaks about constitutional authority, smart people listen because he has been in the trenches battling liberal lawyers for years.

The Constitution gives the president clear authority to protect American citizens and property. Article II makes the president the commander-in-chief of all armed forces, including the National Guard when federalized. No governor should be able to block the president from keeping Americans safe in their own neighborhoods.

Federal law trumps state law every single time under our system of government. When local officials refuse to stop riots and violence, the president must step in to restore order. That is exactly what the founders intended when they created a strong federal executive branch.

Law-abiding Americans deserve protection from violent criminals and anarchists. While Democrat mayors tell police to stand down, President Trump stands up for the victims of crime and destruction. Every patriotic American should support using whatever force is necessary to stop the madness in our cities.

Critics claim federal deployment is somehow unconstitutional or authoritarian. These are the same people who cheered when federal agents protected government buildings during the riots. They only complain about federal authority when it comes from a Republican president they hate.

Presidents throughout American history have used federal forces to restore order during times of crisis. From the Civil War to natural disasters, strong leaders have never hesitated to protect American lives and property. This is what real leadership looks like in action.

Governor Pritzker and his liberal allies can whine all they want about federal authority. The American people elected Donald Trump to be their president and protect their safety. When push comes to shove, the Constitution is on Trump’s side, not the politicians who want chaos to continue.
