Trump’s New Rules Slash Student Loan Handouts for Lawbreakers

President Trump is finally fixing a broken system that wasted billions of taxpayer dollars on the wrong people. The Department of Education just announced new rules to stop student loan forgiveness for workers at organizations that break the law. This is exactly what hardworking Americans have been waiting for.

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program was supposed to help teachers, police officers, and firefighters pay off their student loans. Instead, it became a slush fund for radical activists and groups that hate America. Under the old rules, terrorist sympathizers and illegal immigration supporters could get their loans paid off by you and me.

These new rules will block loan forgiveness for employees of any organization with illegal activities. That means no more taxpayer money for groups that support terrorism, help illegal aliens, or abuse children. If you break the law, you do not deserve taxpayer-funded benefits.

The program will save American taxpayers a whopping 1.5 billion dollars by getting rid of these bad actors. That money should go to real public servants who actually help their communities. Police officers and teachers deserve help, not people who work for anti-American organizations.

Liberal critics are already whining about these common-sense changes. They claim it will hurt sanctuary cities that protect illegal aliens from deportation. Good – those cities should not be rewarded for breaking federal immigration law.

The rules will take effect next summer if approved after the public comment period. Any benefits earned before that date will still count, so the government is being fair to current borrowers. This is not about punishment – it is about doing what is right.

Trump promised to drain the swamp and stop wasting taxpayer money on radical groups. These new rules prove he keeps his promises to the American people. No more free rides for organizations that work against our values and safety.

Real Americans who serve their communities will still get help paying off their student loans. But criminals and anti-American activists will finally be cut off from the taxpayer gravy train. This is what real leadership looks like.
