Trump’s Intel Deal: Socialism Masquerading as Conservatism?

President Trump just made a deal that has real conservatives scratching their heads. Intel agreed to give the federal government a 10 percent stake in their company. This is exactly the kind of government control that we fought against for decades.

Senator Rand Paul got it right when he called this socialism. Government ownership of private companies is what happens in communist countries, not America. We used to stand for free markets and limited government.

Trump says he wants to do more deals like this one. That should worry every patriotic American who believes in capitalism. When government starts owning pieces of our biggest companies, we are walking down a very dangerous path.

Even Bernie Sanders pushed for government ownership of chip companies before Trump did. Think about that for a minute. Our Republican president is now doing what the socialist from Vermont wanted all along.

This Intel deal proves that big government Republicans are just as bad as big government Democrats. Both parties want to control American businesses instead of letting them succeed on their own. Real conservatives know better than this.

American companies built this nation without government handouts or ownership deals. Intel became successful because of free enterprise, not because politicians got involved. Now we are throwing that winning formula out the window.

The founding fathers never wanted government controlling private industry. They wanted limited government that stayed out of business affairs. This Intel deal spits in the face of everything they fought for.

True conservatives must stand up and say no to socialism, even when it comes from our own side. America works best when government gets out of the way and lets freedom ring.
