Trump’s DOGE Scores Legal Win to Slash Wasteful Spending

The Trump administration is pushing ahead with major changes to how the government works. Senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy reports the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) just scored a big legal win. A judge ruled they can keep accessing federal data to find wasteful spending. This means more taxpayer dollars could be saved by cutting bloated programs.

President Trump promised to “drain the swamp,” and DOGE is his bulldozer. The team has already found $55 billion in savings by trimming fat from agencies filled with career bureaucrats. Liberals are furious because these cuts hit pet projects and overpaid government workers. But conservatives say it’s about time someone stood up for hardworking Americans footing the bill.

Democrats and activist judges keep trying to stop these reforms. Courts temporarily blocked some spending cuts, calling them “harmful.” Critics claim DOGE’s data grabs invade privacy, even though the group only looks at spending patterns. Republicans argue liberals want to hide how your tax money gets wasted on woke programs and useless research grants.

The Department of Education became a battleground after DOGE reviewed student loan data. Left-wing groups sued to block transparency, but judges recently sided with Trump’s team. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos cheered the move: “Sunlight disinfects corruption. Parents deserve to see where their money goes.”

Not all courts have cooperated. One Obama-appointed judge paused cuts to health research funding in Democrat-run states like California. Conservatives say this proves liberal judges protect their friends in academia instead of letting Trump fix broken systems. “Universities waste millions on silly studies while students drown in debt,” said a GOP lawmaker.

The media paints DOGE as reckless, but supporters call them heroes. Elon Musk’s leadership team uses business smarts to streamline paperwork nightmares. One worker said: “We’re deleting 10 old rules for every new one.” That’s music to taxpayers’ ears after years of red tape strangling small businesses.

Democrats warn these cuts will hurt families, but facts tell another story. The White House redirected savings to border security and veterans’ care. “We’re not cutting help for people who need it,” said VP Mike Pence. “We’re cutting help for politicians who want endless handouts.”

The fight proves Trump won’t back down from his promise to shrink big government. Every lawsuit filed by angry liberals just makes his team work harder. As one DOGE staffer put it: “They can sue all they want. We’ve got the people on our side.” For Americans tired of wasteful spending, that’s hope worth fighting for.
