Tom Homan, the Trump administration’s border czar, says President Donald Trump has delivered the “safest, most secure border in the history of this nation.” Homan, who previously ran ICE under Trump, credits the president’s rapid executive actions for slashing illegal crossings by over 95% since March 2024. He calls Trump the “greatest president of my lifetime” for restoring law and order after what conservatives describe as Biden’s open-border disaster.
The numbers don’t lie. Border Patrol apprehensions have cratered to historic lows, with monthly encounters dropping from over 300,000 under Biden to just 15,000 under Trump’s crackdown. Homan points to revived policies like Remain in Mexico, mass deportations, and construction of new border wall sections. “We proved you don’t need Congress—just a leader who puts America first,” he told Fox News.
While Democrats obsessed with amnesty, Trump deployed troops. Over 10,000 National Guard and active-duty personnel now back up Border Patrol agents. Military engineers are rushing to complete 450 miles of reinforced border barriers by 2026. “Cartels are scrambling,” Homan said. “They know this White House means business.”
Homan vows no mercy for sanctuary cities. He’s warned leftist mayors they’ll face jail time for shielding illegal immigrants who commit crimes. “If they want to watch their communities get ravaged by criminal aliens, that’s on them,” he said. “But when they actively block ICE, that’s a felony. And we will prosecute.”
The border czar isn’t just talking tough. Two planeloads of suspected Venezuelan gang members were recently deported to El Salvador, defying activist judges. “Another flight leaves tomorrow,” Homan said. “We won’t stop until every criminal alien is gone.” Over 8,000 ICE agents now conduct daily raids nationwide.
Critics call Homan cruel. Patriots call him decisive. He oversaw the removal of 300,000 illegal immigrants in 2024 alone. “Biden let 8 million pour in,” Homan countered. “We’re cleaning up his mess—permanently.” His plan? Expand rapid deportations, end birthright citizenship fraud, and jail employers who hire undocumented workers.
Frontline agents cheer Homan’s return. “He’s one of us,” said Border Patrol union head Paul Perez. Unlike DC bureaucrats, Homan started as a field agent in 1984. He understands the grind of night patrols and drug busts. “Finally, we’ve got leadership that lets us do our jobs,” Perez added.
The message is clear: Trump’s border revolution works. Crime is down. Fentanyl seizures are up. And Homan promises more victories ahead. “Sleepy Joe surrendered our sovereignty,” he said. “President Trump took it back—and we’re never letting go.” For millions of Americans, that’s not politics. It’s survival.
