The liberal city leaders want to keep their failed policies that have made D.C. streets unsafe for hardworking Americans.
Trump knows that D.C. has been a mess for years under Democrat control. Crime rates stay high while liberal prosecutors let criminals walk free. The President stepped in because local leaders have completely failed to protect innocent people who live and work in our capital city.
The D.C. Police Union Chairman warned that Trump’s takeover might only be a temporary fix. He said real change needs more time and stronger action. Union leaders know that their officers need federal support to do their jobs properly without liberal politicians getting in the way.
Federal control makes perfect sense when local leaders refuse to enforce the law. D.C. Democrats have tied the hands of police officers for too long. They care more about protecting criminals than keeping families safe in their own neighborhoods.

Americans deserve to feel safe when they visit Washington D.C. to see their government in action. Tourists and workers should not have to worry about getting robbed or attacked. Law and order must come before the feelings of liberal activists who hate police.
