For too long, our military has been hamstrung by weak politicians who think we should apologize for being the strongest nation on earth. The Department of War was good enough for George Washington in 1789, and it’s good enough for us today. We changed the name in 1947 when weak-kneed politicians thought it sounded too scary. Well guess what? Our enemies should be scared of us, not the other way around.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gets it completely and will soon become Secretary of War. This is a man who actually served in combat and knows what it takes to win. He understands that our military isn’t there to play patty-cake with terrorists and communist dictators.
