Trump Drives Tesla, Defies Democrats: Musk’s New GOP Ally

President Trump showed his support for Tesla and Elon Musk by personally picking out a new Tesla at the White House. This move comes as Democrats have turned against the electric car company because Musk now backs Trump. The president praised Tesla as a great American company that creates jobs, while slamming critics who he says are trying to destroy Musk for political reasons.

Tesla’s stock prices have dropped sharply, but Trump isn’t backing down. He blamed the falling numbers on Democrats attacking Musk for leading the government’s new cost-cutting Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The president made it clear that his administration will protect American businesses like Tesla from what he calls “radical leftist mobs.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called out Democrats for their sudden dislike of Tesla. She said Democrats only turned on the company after Musk started supporting Trump. Leavitt pointed out that Democrats used to praise Tesla for its green technology, but now they’re organizing protests and even vandalizing cars just to hurt Musk.

Protests at Tesla stores have spread nationwide, with some locations hit by vandalism. Leavitt accused Democratic groups like ActBlue of funding these attacks, though she didn’t provide proof. Musk claims the protests are a coordinated effort to damage Tesla because he’s working with Trump to cut government waste.

Democrats in New York are pushing to pull state pension money out of Tesla, claiming the stock is too risky. Teachers’ unions and liberal groups want retirees’ savings away from what they call “MAGA investments.” Leavitt fired back, saying these moves prove Democrats care more about politics than protecting workers’ money.

The White House stood by Musk’s work at DOGE, saying he’s doing exactly what Trump promised—stopping fraud and waste in government programs. Leavitt reminded Americans that Democrats like Obama and Biden once claimed they’d clean up spending too, but never did. She said Trump and Musk are the first leaders actually delivering results.

Despite the backlash, Republican support for Tesla is growing. Polls show GOP voters now see Tesla as a patriotic choice, while Democrats boycott the brand. Musk’s team is even adding new anti-vandalism features to Teslas, like loud honking alarms to scare off protesters who key cars.

Leavitt ended with a warning: The administration won’t let activists bully companies into hiding their conservative values. She said Trump will keep fighting for businesses like Tesla that embrace American innovation and jobs—no matter how much the left tries to cancel them.
