President Trump is absolutely right to demand that Intel’s CEO step down right now. Lip-Bu Tan has dangerous ties to Chinese companies that could put America at risk. When the leader of one of our most important tech companies is connected to China, that’s a huge problem for our national security.
Senator Tom Cotton discovered the shocking truth about Tan’s business dealings. The Intel CEO controls dozens of Chinese companies and has money invested in hundreds of Chinese tech firms. At least eight of these companies work directly with China’s military forces.
This is exactly the kind of foreign influence that Trump has been fighting against for years. China wants to steal our technology and destroy American jobs. Having someone with deep Chinese business ties running Intel is like letting the fox guard the henhouse.
Intel makes the computer chips that power everything from our phones to our military equipment. If China gets control over Intel through their puppet CEO, they could spy on Americans or shut down our technology when we need it most. This is a matter of life and death for our country.
Trump called Tan “highly conflicted” and demanded he resign immediately. The president didn’t mince words because he knows how serious this threat really is. America First means keeping Chinese spies out of our most important companies.
Of course, the liberal media won’t tell you the full story about Tan’s dangerous connections. They want to protect China and attack Trump instead of defending American workers and families. But patriots know the truth when they see it.
Intel’s stock price dropped right after Trump spoke out, showing that even Wall Street knows this is bad news. Smart investors understand that having a Chinese-connected CEO puts the whole company at risk. American shareholders deserve better than this sellout.
Trump is once again standing up for America against the Chinese threat. Every patriotic American should support the president’s demand for Tan to resign before he does any more damage to our national security.
