Bill Pulte, Trump’s appointee who leads the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has accused Cook of lying to banks to get better loan deals. This is exactly the kind of swamp corruption that hardworking Americans are sick of seeing from government officials.
Cook allegedly pulled a classic scam that would land regular Americans in jail. She promised banks in 2021 that a Michigan home would be her primary residence to get lower mortgage rates. Then just two weeks later, she bought a condo in Atlanta and made the same promise to different lenders.
This kind of mortgage fraud is a felony that destroys lives when ordinary citizens get caught. Banks give better rates for primary homes because people are less likely to default on where they actually live. Cook apparently gamed the system like a common criminal while sitting on the board that controls our nation’s money supply.
Trump wasted no time calling out this corruption on Truth Social, writing “Cook must resign, now!” The President knows that Americans deserve honest leaders, not fraudsters managing their financial future. Every day Cook stays in power is another day a suspected criminal influences interest rates for millions of families.
Pulte has already sent the evidence to Attorney General Pam Bondi and expects criminal charges to follow. The documents show Cook allegedly falsified bank records and property documents to steal better loan terms. This isn’t a paperwork mistake – this is deliberate fraud that would send any regular American to prison.
The Federal Reserve controls the economic destiny of every American family through interest rates and monetary policy. Having a suspected mortgage fraudster in that position is like putting a bank robber in charge of vault security.
