Three innocent Americans are dead because our broken immigration system failed again. On August 12th, an illegal alien named Harjinder Singh made a deadly U-turn on Florida’s Turnpike that killed a 30-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman, and a 54-year-old man. These victims had families, dreams, and futures that were stolen by someone who should never have been in our country.
Singh crossed our border illegally from Mexico back in 2018. Instead of being deported, he somehow got a commercial driver’s license in California and was driving an 80,000-pound death machine on our roads. This is exactly what happens when liberal states like California refuse to enforce immigration laws and hand out licenses like candy.
The crash happened when Singh tried to make an illegal U-turn near mile marker 171. The minivan carrying three Americans crashed right into his trailer and became wedged underneath. Two people died at the scene and the third died at the hospital fighting for his life.
Singh was charged with three counts of vehicular homicide, but that’s not enough. He should face the death penalty for killing three Americans while he was here illegally. Instead, our weak justice system will probably give him three meals a day in prison while taxpayers foot the bill.
After the crash, this coward ran back to California like the criminal he is. It took Florida Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins personally flying to California to make sure this killer gets brought back to face justice. At least Florida Republicans are willing to fight for American victims.
California’s motor vehicle department gave a commercial license to someone who had no legal right to be in America. How many more illegal aliens are driving trucks on our highways right now because liberal states refuse to do basic background checks. This blood is on California’s hands.
The victims were real Americans with real families who are now destroyed forever. A 30-year-old man from Florida City will never come home again. A woman from Pompano Beach and a man from Miami died because our government cares more about illegal aliens than American citizens.
This tragedy shows exactly why we need President Trump back in the White House. We need mass deportations, secured borders, and an end to sanctuary policies that protect criminals over Americans. Until we put America First again, more innocent people will die because politicians care more about being woke than keeping us safe.
