Texas Hill Country Flooding Claims 27 Lives, Heroes Rise Amid Despair

Heavy rains caused terrible flooding in Texas Hill Country. At least twenty-seven people died, including nine children. Many kids from a Christian summer camp are still missing.

Representative Chip Roy rushed back to help his community. He was supposed to be with President Trump signing a big bill. But he knew his place was with suffering Texans.

The Guadalupe River rose twenty-six feet in just forty-five minutes. It washed away cars, homes, and dreams. This happened before dawn Friday, catching families unprepared.

Emergency workers performed over two hundred heroic rescues. They used helicopters to save about one hundred sixty people. Workers kept pulling children from ruined campsites all night.

Roy said Texans are strong and won’t give up hope. He praised the brave rescuers risking everything. Folks here believe in helping their neighbors through hard times.

This tragedy struck where Roy’s own family celebrates July Fourth. They always gather for summer concerts by the river. Now that same river brought death and destruction.

The congressman called it heartbreaking to see children lost. He stressed that families need prayers and support now. True patriots stand together when disaster strikes.

Roy promised Texas will rebuild with grit and faith. He said communities must unite, not wait for Washington. Conservatives know real strength comes from God and neighbors.
