These runaway Democrats are throwing a tantrum because they’re losing power fair and square. The proposed congressional maps would give Republicans up to five more House seats, which is exactly what Texas voters want after years of liberal overreach. Instead of accepting the will of the people, Democrats chose to pack their bags and run to their progressive friends for sympathy.
Governor Greg Abbott is fighting back hard against this childish behavior. He’s hitting the fleeing lawmakers with daily 500 dollar fines and threatening felony charges if liberal donors try to pay their bills. The governor even has the power to remove these deserters from office entirely, and every patriotic Texan hopes he uses it.
The Texas House issued arrest warrants for the missing Democrats, though they only work inside state lines. These cowards know they can hide behind friendly liberal governors while hardworking Texans suffer without proper representation. It’s a disgrace to everything our founding fathers believed about public service and duty to country.
What makes this even more disgusting is the rank hypocrisy on full display. New York’s Kathy Hochul is now threatening to redraw her own state’s maps to help Democrats, proving this was never about fairness. California’s Gavin Newsom is making the same threats, showing that Democrats only care about rules when they benefit their radical agenda.
These liberal governors are calling legitimate redistricting a legal insurrection, which is rich coming from the party that spent four years claiming Trump stole elections. They’re the ones trying to overturn the democratic process by encouraging Texas Democrats to abandon their sworn duties. The real insurrection is happening right now as Democrats flee from democracy itself.
President Trump and Texas Republicans are simply following the law to ensure fair representation for all Texans. The current maps were drawn years ago and need updating to reflect population changes and conservative growth across the state. Democrats know they can’t win on the merits, so they’re resorting to political theater and victim-playing.
This whole circus shows exactly why Americans voted for Trump and Republican leadership in 2024. While Democrats run away from hard work and tough decisions, conservatives stay and fight for the people who elected them.
