Texas Democrats thought they were so clever when they ran away to Illinois like spoiled children. These elected officials abandoned their jobs and the people who voted for them just to block a legal redistricting process. They jetted off to Democrat-controlled states on the taxpayers’ dime while real Texans stayed home to do the hard work.
The whole stunt was nothing more than political theater designed to grab headlines and please their liberal base. While these Democrats were hiding out in fancy hotels, Texas families were dealing with real problems that needed real solutions. Instead of doing their sworn duty, they chose to play games with our democracy.
But guess what happened while they were gone throwing their tantrum. Republicans used that time wisely to make the congressional map even better for conservative values. State Rep. Briscoe Cain, a true Texas patriot, said their delay tactics actually backfired and improved the GOP’s position.
President Trump was absolutely right when he said Texas redistricting could pick up five more Republican seats in Congress. With Trump winning the highest vote total in Texas history, we deserve proper representation that reflects our conservative values. The numbers don’t lie, and neither do hardworking Texas voters.
The facts are simple: Texas has grown massively since 2020, with millions of Americans fleeing failed liberal states like California and Illinois. These new Texans came here for our jobs, our freedom, and our way of life. Our maps need to reflect this huge population shift toward conservative areas.
When the Democrats finally crawled back to Austin with their tails between their legs, Republicans were ready and waiting. The Texas House quickly got its quorum and moved forward with the people’s business. No amount of liberal crying could stop the constitutional process from working.
Now these same Democrats are threatening to fight the maps in court because they can’t win at the ballot box. This is exactly what we expect from the party that hates democracy when it doesn’t go their way. They’ll waste more taxpayer money on lawyers instead of serving their constituents.
The bottom line is clear: Texas voters chose Republicans to lead, and we’re delivering on our promises. While Democrats run away from responsibility, we stay and fight for the values that make Texas the greatest state in America. This redistricting win is just the beginning of making Texas even redder.
