Governor Greg Abbott is fighting back against these deserters who think they are above the law. He has ordered the Texas Department of Public Safety to track down these runaway lawmakers and bring them back to do their jobs. Abbott can also remove them from office completely if they refuse to return and serve the people of Texas.
The Democrats claim the new congressional map is unfair, but that is just more liberal lies. Republicans won fair elections and have every right to draw districts that reflect Texas values. The proposed changes would help ensure that conservative voices are properly represented in Washington instead of being silenced by Democrat schemes.
These fleeing Democrats are getting help from radical governors like Kathy Hochul in New York. She called legitimate redistricting a “legal insurrection” which shows how out of touch these coastal elites really are. They want to interfere in Texas business because they hate that our state keeps winning.
House Speaker Dustin Burrows has signed arrest warrants for the missing Democrats. While Texas officers cannot arrest them in other states, these warrants send a clear message that actions have consequences. No elected official should be allowed to just quit when they do not like the rules.
Abbott can keep calling special sessions until these Democrats come home or get kicked out of office. Texas taxpayers should not have to pay salaries to politicians who refuse to show up for work. These representatives took an oath to serve Texas, not to serve their own political games.
The Democrats ran to states that want to copy their redistricting scheme in other places. This proves this was never about fairness – it was about a coordinated attack on Republican states by the national Democrat machine. They want to steal elections they cannot win honestly.
