Taxpayer Dollars Fueling Hamas: Biden’s Aid Program Under Fire

American taxpayers are footing the bill for terrorism. Reports show billions in foreign aid sent to Gaza ended up helping Hamas terrorists. This happened even after Hamas slaughtered over 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.

The Biden administration sent over $2 billion to Gaza through USAID after the attacks. Some of this cash went through groups like Mercy Corps. These groups worked with Hamas-controlled ministries to hand out the money. The Hamas-run Ministry of Social Development picked who got the cash. Hamas leaders used this system to fund their terror tunnels and weapons.

USAID tried to hide where the money went. They labeled hundreds of millions as “miscellaneous foreign awardees.” This made it impossible to track. Experts say this lack of transparency let taxpayer dollars pay Hamas salaries. Some aid workers even called for violence against Jews while taking U.S. funds.

The Trump administration uncovered these shady deals. They froze USAID funding and started cleaning house. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called USAID a broken system. He said it wasted money and helped America’s enemies. Elon Musk helped shut down parts of USAID, calling it a “criminal organization.”

Mercy Corps got $36 million from USAID since 2021. They claimed they didn’t work with Hamas. But U.N. records prove they used Hamas’ ministry lists to pick aid recipients. Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad ran that ministry. He bragged about planning more attacks like October 7.

USAID’s watchdog warned about aid going to terrorists. But Biden kept the cash flowing. Over $1.2 billion went to Gaza after the massacre. Inspectors found food aid rotting at sea because of Biden’s red tape. Meanwhile, Hamas fighters stole supplies meant for civilians.

Republicans are fighting to stop the funding. Senator Ted Cruz exposed USAID’s secret deals with Hamas. He said they broke anti-terrorism laws. House committees heard testimony about $122 million in aid that reached groups tied to Hamas and Al-Qaeda.

Hardworking Americans deserve better. Their taxes should protect freedom, not fund jihadists. The Trump administration took bold steps to drain the swamp at USAID. It’s time for permanent reforms to put America first and cut off the terror money pipeline.
