Stephen A. Smith Regrets Voting for Kamala Harris, Slams Democrats

Stephen A. Smith says he’d take back his vote for Kamala Harris if he could. The ESPN star told conservatives he felt “guilted” into supporting her. Smith blasted Democrats for pushing far-left ideas instead of listening to everyday Americans. He called their focus on issues like transgender debates and open borders “crazy” and out of touch.

Smith admitted he voted for Harris but now feels like a “fool.” He said she only became the nominee because Democratic leaders rigged the system. Harris skipped real primary challenges, he claimed, and liberals acted like she was a “rockstar” at the convention. “We fell for the okiedoke,” Smith said, using slang for being tricked.

The sports commentator crushed Barack Obama too. Smith got angry when Obama said Black men didn’t back Harris because of sexism. “That’s garbage,” Smith fired back. He said Black voters care about jobs, safety, and schools—not gender politics. Smith almost switched his vote to Trump over Obama’s comments.

Trump won because he talks like regular people, Smith argued. Even with scandals and court cases, Trump seemed “normal” compared to Democrats. Smith said Trump’s ideas on borders and trade made sense to workers. “He’s closer to normal than the left,” Smith told Bill Maher. He praised Trump for keeping campaign promises.

Democrats keep losing by focusing on “fringe” issues, Smith warned. He said they lecture voters instead of solving problems. Topics like defunding police and climate extremism turn off middle America. Smith called the party “lost” with no national leaders. He said they need to ditch progressives and get back to basics.

Some Democrats want Smith to run for president in 2028. He laughed it off but didn’t say no. “If I could win, I’d think about it,” Smith teased. He called himself a moderate who likes borders and capitalism. But he said Democrats are too weak and divided to beat Trump again.

Smith told liberals to stop calling Trump a “racist” or “Nazi.” He said those attacks backfire and make voters tune out. “Trump isn’t perfect, but he’s not evil,” Smith said. He warned Democrats to fight Trump with better ideas—not lawsuits or name-calling.

In the end, Smith said Trump’s win was a wake-up call. Americans want safety, strong jobs, and schools—not lectures. He told Democrats to scrap their radical plans or keep losing. Smith’s message? Stop blaming voters and start listening.
