Mamdani’s platform reads like a socialist wish list that would bankrupt working families. He wants to raise the minimum wage to an insane 30 dollars an hour by 2030, which would kill small businesses overnight. The democratic socialist also plans to slap massive tax increases on corporations and anyone making over one million dollars, driving job creators right out of the city.
The business community is already panicking about what a Mamdani victory would mean for New York’s economy. His plan to have the city government run grocery stores sounds like something straight out of Venezuela or Cuba. Free city buses and rent freezes might sound nice, but these socialist policies always end up hurting the very people they claim to help.
Even more troubling is Mamdani’s dangerous stance on Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East. He has pledged to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits New York City, showing how far the radical left has fallen. This anti-Israel position should alarm every patriotic American who supports our allies against terrorism.
Mamdani struggled badly with Black voters during the Democratic primary, losing in predominantly Black neighborhoods across the city. These communities understand that his radical policies would hurt working families and destroy the jobs they depend on. His weakness with this crucial voting bloc could be his downfall in November.
The good news is that Mamdani faces a tough fight in the general election against several opponents. Incumbent Mayor Eric Adams has deep roots in Black communities, while Republican Curtis Sliwa offers a true conservative alternative. Even Andrew Cuomo is back in the race, splitting the Democratic vote.
Conservative voters and moderate Democrats who care about public safety and economic growth must unite to stop this socialist takeover. Mamdani’s radical agenda would turn New York into another failed progressive experiment like San Francisco or Portland. The stakes could not be higher for America’s greatest city.
