Senate Moves to Reign in Judges Blocking Trump’s Agenda

The Senate is taking action against judges who keep blocking President Trump’s policies. Republican leaders say these judges are out of control. Over 15 national orders have stopped Trump’s plans in just two months. That’s more than what Biden faced in four years. Experts call it a crisis.

Chuck Grassley, a top Republican senator, says judges aren’t supposed to make laws. They’re ignoring the Constitution. Grassley wrote a new bill to stop these nationwide injunctions. His plan would limit judges to ruling only on cases in front of them. No more one-judge decisions for the whole country.

President Trump blasted the judges on social media. He called them “lunatics” hurting America. He warned the Supreme Court must fix this fast. Many conservatives agree. They say liberal judges are sabotaging Trump’s election wins. It’s not fair to voters.

Democrats defend the judges. Hank Johnson, a Democratic congressman, says Trump’s policies are the real problem. He claims courts are just doing their job. But Republicans point out over 90% of these rulings come from judges appointed by Democrats. It looks political, not legal.

Some legal experts say these injunctions are new and dangerous. They didn’t exist 50 years ago. Now, a single judge in Texas can halt policies for everyone. Grassley’s bill would force activists to file class-action lawsuits instead. That way, more people get a say.

The House is also fighting back. Jim Jordan says Democrats use judges to push policies they can’t pass at the ballot box. He wants to cut funding for courts that abuse injunctions. Others warn this could backfire. But conservatives say it’s time to stand up.

Even liberal Supreme Court justices admit there’s a problem. Justice Kagan once said one judge shouldn’t decide for the whole country. Grassley’s bill has support from 20 Republican senators. But passing it needs Democrat votes, which might not happen.

The battle isn’t just about laws. It’s about who runs America—voters or judges. Republicans say Trump won fair and square. Judges shouldn’t erase that. With more hearings this week, the push to rein in rogue courts is growing. For now, the fight continues.
