Secret Service Stops Armed Threat; Are Our Leaders Safe Enough?

The Secret Service faced another dangerous situation near the White House when agents shot an armed man from Indiana. This comes after past security failures, like the attempted assassination of President Trump at a Pennsylvania rally. Experts say these incidents show big problems in protecting leaders.

Former Homeland Security advisor Michael Balboni called the Pennsylvania rally security a “catastrophic failure.” He says the Secret Service didn’t check rooftops properly, letting the shooter get too close. Balboni warns that leaders need stronger protection in today’s divided America.

The latest shooting happened while President Trump was in Florida. The Secret Service knew the man might be suicidal but still had to fire when he pulled a gun. Balboni praises the agents’ quick action but says we must ask why these threats keep happening.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration cut funding to Columbia University over violent anti-Israel protests. Balboni supports this move, saying campuses shouldn’t allow threats or attacks on Jewish students. He argues foreign students who break laws should lose visas and be deported.

Balboni claims liberal universities like Columbia let protests turn dangerous. He says safety must come before “political correctness.” The administration’s funding cuts push schools to crack down on chaos.

The expert links both issues – failed security and campus unrest – to weak leadership. He says America needs tougher policies to protect people and values. Balboni urges voters to back leaders who put safety first.
