One year ago, evil tried to silence President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A crazed gunman shot our president and innocent Americans. It was a dark day for our country.
Thomas Crooks fired eight shots that day. He hit President Trump in the ear and wounded three brave rallygoers. One patriot died protecting others. A hero Secret Service sniper took down the killer immediately.
This should never have happened. Law enforcement failed that day with terrible confusion and miscommunication. Officers argued instead of protecting the president. Crooks got onto a rooftop because security was sloppy and weak.
The Secret Service recently suspended six agents without pay. But they didn’t fire anyone. This weak punishment shows no real accountability. It’s a disgrace to the Americans who were hurt or killed.
President Trump showed true strength that day. He stood tall even after being shot. That’s the fighting spirit that makes him a great leader. He represents hardworking Americans who won’t back down.
The Secret Service claims they’ve made changes now. They got new drones and better radios. But these fixes come too late. Our leaders deserve real protection from day one.
This attack shows the dangerous hate against conservatives in America. The left’s violent rhetoric creates monsters like Crooks. We must stand united against this madness.
We honor the hero sniper who saved lives. We remember the patriot who died. And we stand with President Trump against the forces that want to destroy America.
