Nick Rolovich was fired as Washington State’s head football coach for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. He claims it was really about his Catholic faith. Now he’s fighting back in court.
Coach Rolovich got canned in 2021 along with four assistants. They wouldn’t take the shot. The school said it was about the state vaccine rule. But Rolovich says they targeted him for being Catholic.
He asked for a religious exemption. The university said no. They claimed letting him skip the shot would cost too much and hurt recruiting. Rolovich felt punished for sticking to his beliefs.
Rolovich sued the school. A federal judge picked by Obama threw out his case. The judge said Rolovich didn’t really object for religious reasons. He pointed to past comments where Rolovich just questioned the vaccine’s safety.
This ruling stinks of bias. An Obama judge ignored religious freedom. He brushed aside Rolovich’s Catholic convictions like they didn’t matter. This is how the left silences people of faith.
Rolovich isn’t giving up. He’s appealed to the Ninth Circuit. His lawyers say the school plotted against him. They say WSU leaders wanted him gone for his beliefs long before they used the vaccine rule as the excuse.
This case shows the war on Christian values in America. They’ll fire a good coach for his faith. They’ll let judges rewrite what counts as religious belief. It’s time to stand against this attack on our freedoms.
Rolovich deserves justice. He stood strong when they tried to make him bend. Now all patriots must back him. We can’t let them push Christians out of public life.
