Trump's impeachment, gun control, the corporate coronavirus bailout, the federalization of local elections, the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill, the $1.2 trillion "infrastructure" bill, the confirmation of Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, and the confirmation of Department of Homeland (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas are among the issues on which Murkowski most notably voted against Republicans and in favor of Biden's agenda.
Given that she is running against Republican opponent Kelly Tshibaka, who has received Trump's endorsement and is tied with the incumbent in the polls, Murkowski's voting history with Biden is noteworthy.
Murkowski stated in September that she is "not a fan of this administration" because "a lot of their policies have really hurt us" while running for reelection in the conservative state of Alaska. She has nonetheless acknowledged that she has supported the administration's goals simply because “they’re in office. And they’re going to be in office for the next two years.”
In her closing argument to Alaskan voters on Tuesday, the senator who supports impeachment offered to support the Democratic agenda.
In the advertisement unveiled on Tuesday, she stated, "Here's my commitment to you." In order to achieve Alaska's priorities, “I will work with anyone from either party to advance Alaska’s priorities, and I will always stand up to any politician or special interest that threatens our way of life.”
Murkowski's campaign fundraising totals highlight her voting history. Murkowski's campaign has received 84 percent of its funding from outside the state. Despite the fact that polls indicate the race is tight, Murkowski has outspent Tshibaka by more over $4.5 million overall.
