Another American patriot has been silenced by a deranged leftist assassin. Charlie Kirk, the brave 31-year-old conservative activist who fought tirelessly for our values, was gunned down while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. This was not some random act of violence – this was a calculated attack on everything we hold dear.
The cold-blooded killer, 22-year-old Tyler James Robinson, planned this evil act down to the last detail. He spent hours stalking around campus before climbing onto a rooftop with a rifle. At 12:23 in the afternoon, he fired a single shot from 142 yards away, hitting Charlie in the neck as he debated with students about important issues facing our nation.
Robinson showed no mercy and no remorse for his heinous crime. After murdering Charlie in broad daylight, he fled like the coward he is, dropping from the roof and escaping into nearby woods. He left behind his weapon and ran home to southern Utah, thinking he could get away with killing one of our movement’s brightest stars.
The suspect only turned himself in after his own father recognized him in FBI photos and forced him to face justice. Even now, sitting in his jail cell, Robinson refuses to cooperate with investigators or explain his twisted motives. He remains under special watch because authorities worry about his dangerous mental state.
This assassination sends a chilling message to every conservative voice in America. The radical left has shown they will stop at nothing to silence us, even resorting to murder when they cannot win debates with facts and logic. They fear our ideas so much they would rather kill than engage in honest discussion.
President Trump rightfully called for the death penalty in this case, and Utah Governor Spencer Cox has echoed that demand. Robinson faces charges of aggravated murder, which could send him to death row where he belongs. There can be no mercy for someone who executes political opponents in cold blood.
Charlie Kirk dedicated his young life to defending conservative principles and educating America’s youth about the dangers of socialism.
