Russia just launched one of its biggest attacks on Ukraine since the war started three years ago. The ruthless assault used over 500 drones and dozens of missiles to terrorize innocent civilians. At least 15 people died in the capital city of Kyiv, including four young children aged 2 to 17.
This massive strike shows Vladimir Putin has zero interest in real peace talks. While world leaders waste time with fancy diplomacy meetings, Putin uses that time to plan more deadly attacks on hospitals, schools, and homes. The Russian dictator only understands one language – raw military strength.
Ukraine shot down most of the incoming weapons, but dozens still got through their defenses. Families in Zaporizhzhia got hit especially hard, with 29 people wounded and thousands losing power. Putin deliberately targets civilians because he wants to break the spirit of the Ukrainian people.
President Zelensky immediately demanded tougher sanctions on Russia’s banking and energy sectors. He knows that weak political statements won’t stop Putin’s war machine. America and Europe need to hit Russia where it really hurts – their wallet and their oil money.
This attack proves that Putin sees any peace talks as a joke. He uses negotiation time to restock his weapons and plan bigger strikes. The Alaska Summit from August 15th clearly failed to scare Russia into backing down.
American taxpayers have sent billions to Ukraine while our own border stays wide open. We need leaders who put America First instead of endless foreign wars. Our money should protect American families, not fund another decade of overseas conflict.
Putin only respects strength, not empty diplomatic talk from weak politicians. Until world leaders show real backbone and impose crushing sanctions, these attacks will keep happening. Russia must face serious consequences that actually hurt their economy and military.
The time for half-measures ended long ago. Either we force Putin to stop through overwhelming pressure, or we watch him continue murdering innocent families while laughing at our weakness. American leadership means making tough choices that actually work.
