Pentagon Launches Probe Into Biden’s Afghanistan Withdrawal Chaos

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a direct order to the Pentagon this week: launch a full review of the disastrous 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. The move comes as conservatives demand answers about how America’s exit from Afghanistan turned into one of the worst strategic failures in U.S. history.

President Biden oversaw the chaotic pullout, which left behind millions of dollars’ worth of military equipment and left our troops in the lurch. Thirteen brave service members were killed at Kabul’s airport in a suicide bombing during the evacuation. The Taliban took over the country in days, and scenes of desperate Afghans clinging to planes became symbols of failure.

“This review isn’t just about pointing fingers,” Hegseth said in a memo. “It’s about getting the truth.” The Pentagon already did one weak review but now needs a real investigation. This time, they’ll look at every bad decision made by Biden’s team and the generals who failed our troops.

Hegseth appointed Sean Parnell, a decorated Afghanistan veteran, to lead the new review. They’ll dig into why the U.S. abandoned key bases too soon and left gates open at the Kabul airport despite warnings. The generals in charge need to explain why they ignored risks and prioritized politics over safety.

The withdrawal was supposed to be peaceful under Trump’s deal with the Taliban. But Biden’s White House rushed it, ignored intelligence, and cut corners. They left behind drones, weapons, and vehicles that still give the Taliban power today. This wasn’t a mistake – it was a betrayal of the heroes who fought for 20 years.

Liberals claim the review is partisan, but conservatives say accountability is nonpartisan. Too many questions remain unanswered: Who ordered the equipment left behind? Why were the gates kept open to deadly attacks? Why did Biden’s team lie about the Afghan army’s strength?

The review will force showdowns with retired generals and Biden officials. It’s not about punishing people – it’s about ensuring this never happens again. America needs to learn from these disasters to protect our troops and national security.

This isn’t just history. It’s about justice for the 13 service members killed, the soldiers left with PTSD, and the families who still demand answers. Hegseth’s review is a step toward honoring their sacrifice and fixing a broken system. Patriots must back this effort – our heroes deserve nothing less.
