Shawn Denning, the police chief of the town of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, is facing multiple charges for allegedly helping drug dealers deal drugs.
According to a news release from the US Department of Justice, Denning was charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking. He was accused of facilitating a connection between drug dealers and a confidential informant.

According to the news release, Denning provided the informant with the prices and menus of the drugs that the dealers were selling. He worked with this confidential informant from June 2021 to October 2022.
According to the release, Denning allegedly used the US Postal Service to acquire drugs from Arizona and California. One of the deals he helped the drug dealers complete fell through, and he then gave the informant cornhole bags in exchange for the drugs.
According to the release, if convicted, Denning could face up to twenty years in prison and a fine of $1 million. The mayor of the town of Greensburg said that Denning had already left his position as the police chief.
According to WTAE, Mayor Mike Bell said that Captain Donald Sarsfield would be acting as the police chief while the investigation is carried out.
The Greensburg Mayor’s Office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller for comment.
