NYC’s Future in Jeopardy Under Socialist Mamdani’s Radical Plans

A Princeton professor is sounding the alarm about what could happen if socialist Zohran Mamdani becomes New York City’s next mayor. Lauren Wright warns that working families will face job losses and hunger under his radical policies. This is exactly what happens when far-left politicians get power.

Mamdani calls himself a democratic socialist and wants to completely remake America’s greatest city. His plan includes forcing businesses to pay a crushing 30 dollar minimum wage by 2030. Small business owners are already struggling with high costs and crime, and this would be the final nail in the coffin.

The Queens assemblyman also wants to freeze rents and build 200,000 new government housing units. This sounds nice but it will destroy property values and drive landlords out of business. When government controls housing, everyone suffers except the politicians.

Even worse, Mamdani wants the city to run grocery stores in every borough. This is straight out of the socialist playbook that has failed everywhere it has been tried. Government-run stores mean higher prices, empty shelves, and fewer choices for families.

His plan to make buses free might sound good, but nothing is really free. Taxpayers will foot the bill while the city goes deeper into debt. Meanwhile, he wants to raise taxes on successful businesses and job creators who already carry the heaviest burden.

Mamdani has shown his true colors by promising to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits New York. This radical anti-Israel stance proves he cares more about woke politics than keeping America’s allies safe. Our enemies are watching and taking notes.

The professor is right to worry about jobs disappearing under Mamdani’s rule. When you attack business owners and pile on regulations, companies pack up and leave. Look at what happened to cities like Detroit and San Francisco when liberals took charge.

New Yorkers deserve better than another socialist experiment that will hurt working people. The choice is clear between prosperity and poverty, between freedom and government control. Let us hope voters choose wisely before it is too late.
