Governor Gavin Newsom is at it again, attacking President Trump while California burns. In a dramatic speech Tuesday night, Newsom blasted the President for sending troops to restore order in riot-torn Los Angeles. This is the same governor who watched as criminals destroyed parts of his largest city.
The liberal California governor had the nerve to say “Democracy is under assault.” But what’s really under assault are the businesses and homes of law-abiding citizens in Los Angeles. President Trump did what Newsom refused to do – take strong action to protect innocent Americans from violent mobs.
Democrats are already calling Newsom their new savior for 2028. They’ve forgotten how their last California dream ended with Kamala Harris’s failed campaign. Newsom runs a state with sky-high taxes, rampant homelessness, and families fleeing to red states in record numbers.
The governor pretends he’s not planning to run for president. Yet he’s hosting a fancy podcast and giving dramatic speeches on national TV. His speech was nothing but a campaign commercial paid for by California taxpayers.
Newsom claims Trump “usurped his power” by sending troops to Los Angeles. What about the power of shop owners who lost everything in the riots? The liberal governor would rather score political points than protect his own citizens.
Recent polls show even Californians aren’t excited about a Newsom presidency. They’ve seen firsthand how his liberal policies have destroyed their once-beautiful state. Americans in the heartland certainly won’t be fooled by his slick Hollywood style.
This is the same tired playbook Democrats keep using. Find a coastal elite with good hair and empty promises. Newsom’s message about “democracy in peril” is just recycled from Biden’s failed campaign.
Real Americans want secure borders, safe streets, and affordable groceries. They don’t want California-style homelessness and crime coming to their communities. President Trump understands this, while Gavin Newsom only understands how to pose for cameras while his state crumbles.
