Mamdani beat Andrew Cuomo in the primary election. He got 56% of the vote after ranked choice voting. This voting system lets people pick multiple candidates in order. Mamdani’s team played it smart by teaming up with other candidates.
Cuomo ran as an independent after losing. He still got over 400,000 votes. His team says Mamdani won because of extremism and empty promises. They think New Yorkers want common sense leadership, not radical ideas.
This win shows the Democratic Party is moving toward socialism. They want higher taxes and government control. Mamdani plans to raise taxes on hardworking people and businesses. That will hurt families and destroy jobs.
Socialism has failed everywhere it’s been tried. It takes away freedom and makes everyone poor. Yet Democrats keep pushing these dangerous ideas. They don’t care about real Americans who work and pay taxes.
Conservatives understand that freedom works. We believe in small government and personal responsibility. The American Dream comes from opportunity, not handouts. We must fight socialism to save our country.
Mamdani faces a tough race in November against Mayor Eric Adams and Curtis Sliwa. Real New Yorkers must stand up against his socialist agenda. We need leaders who protect our freedoms, not take them away.
