New Trump Doctrine: America First, Globalists Beware

The White House formally unveiled its new National Security Strategy on December 5, 2025, laying out a clear, unapologetic reset of American priorities after years of dangerous drift. This document is not the timid hand-wringing of the past; it names threats, prioritizes American interests, and tells our adversaries we will not be passive while our citizens pay the price.

At the center of the strategy is a decisive pivot back to the Western Hemisphere, a modern “Trump Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine that restores American preeminence in our own backyard. After watching our border and supply chains be weaponized against us, any sensible government must put defending our hemisphere first, and that is precisely what this plan promises.

The paper also reasserts the need to preserve military overmatch and deter aggression, particularly around the Taiwan Strait, while rebalancing where and how we deploy U.S. forces. This isn’t reckless adventurism — it’s sober realism: deter where we must, build partners where it strengthens America, and stop treating our military like a charity for global social engineering.

Republicans and conservatives should welcome the data the strategy cites and the surveys discussed at the Reagan Forum showing that a majority of Americans want the United States to be more engaged and to maintain the strongest military in the world. Ordinary Americans understand that strength and clarity keep the peace; they do not want squishy, virtue-signaling foreign policy that leaves our homeland exposed.

Most importantly, this strategy tears up the stale playbook of globalist elites who confused interventionism with security and open borders with moral superiority. For too long Washington’s foreign-policy class spent blood and treasure chasing utopian projects abroad while neglecting the American people; this document reverses that moral and practical bankruptcy.

Of course the usual suspects in the press and on the left are already shrieking about isolation and catastrophe, conjuring up doomsday scenarios to scare voters into submission. Let them scream; patriotic citizens know stronger borders, a disciplined military, and regional dominance are common-sense defenses of our liberty, not an abdication of leadership.

This National Security Strategy is a call to action for every American who believes our first duty is to protect our families, our communities, and our way of life. Stand with a policy that puts America first, funds our military, secures our borders, and restores peace through strength — because a nation that refuses to defend itself invites chaos, and hardworking patriots will not accept that fate.
