Menendez Brothers Get Second Chance, but Is Justice Really Blind?

Mark Geragos slammed the justice system for keeping the Menendez brothers locked up, claiming gender bias robbed them of freedom. The high-profile attorney blasted courts for treating male criminals harsher than females during a fiery NEWSMAX interview after securing a resentencing victory for Erik and Lyle Menendez.

A California judge slashed the brothers’ sentences this week, making them eligible for parole after 35 years for murdering their parents. Geragos argued the Menendez case exposes how woke gender politics infect courtrooms – insisting women guilty of similar crimes walk free while these men rot behind bars.

The brothers tearfully apologized in court, begging forgiveness for the 1989 Beverly Hills shootings their lawyers blame on years of parental abuse. Family members sobbed as they described the men’s “remarkable transformation” into model inmates who help elderly prisoners and mentor troubled youth.

Prosecutors fought to keep the killers locked up forever, whining about old lies and smuggled cellphones. But the judge shut down their complaints, ruling California’s soft-on-crime laws demand a chance at parole. Geragos mocked the DA’s “desperate” focus on past mistakes instead of celebrating inmate rehabilitation.

Liberal Los Angeles DA George Gascón greenlit the resentencing last fall as part of his radical agenda to empty prisons. Conservatives warn this reckless move puts families at risk by freeing violent offenders who haven’t fully confessed their crimes.

Geragos – who also represents Sean “Diddy” Combs in his sex trafficking case – vowed to keep fighting until the brothers taste freedom. He accused the system of punishing the Menendez men for being sons who snapped under pressure instead of daughters who’d get endless sympathy.

The parole board now holds the brothers’ fate despite concerns they’re “moderately more likely” to commit violence if released. Patriots fear California’s broken justice system cares more about criminal coddling than protecting law-abiding citizens.

This case proves liberal DAs like Gascón care more about woke politics than justice or public safety. Hardworking Americans deserve courts that punish evil, not excuses for cold-blooded killers – whether they’re rich brats with a abuse story or street thugs with none.
