Maxine Waters is at it again with her latest attack on President Trump. The California Democrat wants to use the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office because he fired Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. Waters thinks Trump is unfit to be president just for cleaning house at the Fed.
Trump removed Cook on Monday after she allegedly gave false information about mortgage data. This is exactly what a strong leader should do when government officials lie to the American people. But Waters sees this as some kind of threat to democracy instead of basic accountability.
During her appearance on MSNBC, Waters went completely overboard with her criticism. She claimed Trump wants to control the entire Federal Reserve for his own personal benefit. This is the same tired attack Democrats always use when Trump makes tough decisions to help America.
Waters said Trump’s actions could destroy the whole economy and hurt Wall Street. She’s trying to scare people into thinking our president is dangerous. But Trump knows how to run an economy better than any politician in Washington.
The Democrat representative even called Trump’s moves the work of a dictator. She said he wants to control interest rates and put his own people on the Fed board. This is rich coming from someone whose party spent four years trying to control every part of government.
Waters admitted her 25th Amendment plan probably won’t work because Trump’s cabinet won’t go along with it. She knows this is just political theater to get attention on liberal news shows. Democrats can’t accept that Trump won the election fair and square.
This is typical Maxine Waters behavior whenever she disagrees with Republican policies. She jumps straight to the most extreme solution instead of working with Congress. American voters are tired of this kind of radical resistance from the left.
Trump has every right to fire government officials who don’t do their jobs properly. Waters should focus on helping her own district instead of trying to overturn elections. Real Americans support a president who holds bureaucrats accountable.
