In a recent Instagram post, Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, revealed an unusual bedroom setup. He displayed an image of his bedside table, which features a painting of George Washington and four cans of Diet Coke. Other objects on the table include a lamp, an old pistol, a Buddhist vajra, a book collection, and a model handgun from the game "Deus Ex: Human Revolution."
The post went viral, with many people commenting on it and finding it amusing. Some were disturbed by the presence of replica guns on the table.
In response, Musk noted that he had no excuse for not having coasters. Also, the various rings from the cans of Diet Coke can be found on the table. A Buddhist vajra, which is a type of ritual object, is displayed on the table.

According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, a vajra is a type of object that has two meanings in Sanskrit: "diamond" and "thunderbolt." It is made out of bronze or brass and has four curved ends that create a lotus-like shape. The nine-pronged version is less commonly used.
The New York Post noted that the table's background features a collection of books, which include the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. These books were published by Applewood Books.
The two guns displayed on the table drew the most attention. Some believe that it displays Musk's pro-Second Amendment beliefs. Although both of the guns are non-firing, one of them is a model made from a video game, while the other is a flintlock replica of Washington's pistol.
Some left-wing individuals were outraged by the image, as they believe that Musk was promoting dangerous gun practices.
Joseph Sakran, a trauma surgeon and a gun control activist, advised Musk to store his weapon in an Unloaded and locked container. He noted that this method is very important to practice responsible gun ownership.
As a survivor and now Trauma Surgeon, I can tell you @elonmusk that the safest way to store your firearm is Unloaded and Locked.
This is critical to practicing responsible gun ownership. I suspect that if you spent a day with me in our trauma center, your views may change. https://t.co/yD7u3xO3ap

Fred Guttenberg, a gun control activist, questioned Musk's mental health concerns. He also wondered if the entrepreneur was using his wealth to inciting violence.
My daughter was killed because of gun violence. Every day across America children are killed because of irresponsible adults who do not lock up guns. Seriously,@elonmusk WTF is wrong with you? Is there a mental health concern? Are you now using your $44B to incite violence? https://t.co/5YAfuG0lbE

Some found the setup amusing. For instance, entrepreneur Matt Wallace suggested that Musk should be careful not to accidentally grab a can of Diet Coke if an intruder enters the room.
