When Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was brutally stabbed to death by Decarlos Brown Jr. on a Charlotte train, CNN hosts Van Jones and Abby Phillip rushed to defend the killer instead of seeking justice for the victim.
Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA dared to suggest this horrific murder might have been racially motivated. Instead of investigating the facts, CNN’s talking heads attacked Kirk for even mentioning race. They accused him of trying to create a “reciprocal George Floyd situation” because they know the truth would expose their hypocrisy.
Van Jones boldly claimed there was “no evidence” of racial hatred in this savage killing. But new audio footage from the murder tells a completely different story. The evidence these CNN cowards tried to hide shows what really happened that day on the train.
For weeks, the mainstream media ignored this young woman’s death completely. A 23-year-old refugee who came here seeking safety was murdered in cold blood, and the liberal press said nothing. They only started covering it when conservatives demanded answers about the obvious double standard.
CNN contributor Kara Swisher even had the nerve to call this murder a “political football.” She suggested Republicans were just “looking for an example” to exploit. These people have no shame when it comes to protecting their narrative over protecting innocent Americans.
The hypocrisy is crystal clear when you compare this to other cases. If the races were reversed, this would be front page news for months with nationwide protests. But because it doesn’t fit their agenda, they tried to bury Iryna’s story and silence anyone who asked questions.
Van Jones actually showed sympathy for the killer, calling him a man who was “hurting.” Meanwhile, he showed zero compassion for the innocent refugee who lost her life. This is exactly what’s wrong with the liberal media elite in America today.
