A liberal federal judge just delivered another outrageous blow to President Trump’s efforts to secure our border and protect American citizens. Judge Charles Breyer in San Francisco ruled that Trump broke the law by sending National Guard troops to help with immigration enforcement in Los Angeles. This is exactly the kind of judicial activism that patriots have come to expect from California’s radical court system.
The ruling gets even worse when you look at the details. Judge Napolitano called the decision controversial and very bold because the judge made his ruling apply to the entire state, not just Los Angeles. This San Francisco liberal is now trying to tie the hands of our president across all of California. Talk about judicial overreach at its finest.
Trump sent the National Guard to Los Angeles because California Democrats refuse to do their job. Governor Gavin Newsom and other liberal leaders have turned the Golden State into a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. When local officials won’t protect Americans, the president has to step in and do what’s right.
The judge claims Trump violated something called the Posse Comitatus Act. But Trump’s legal team has a solid argument that doesn’t hold water. The National Guard troops were there to protect federal officers doing their jobs, not to directly enforce immigration law themselves. There’s a big difference that this activist judge chose to ignore.
Trump used his constitutional authority as president to federalize the California National Guard. The law clearly allows him to do this when the country faces invasion or rebellion. With millions of illegal immigrants pouring across our border, what else would you call it? Trump was doing exactly what the Constitution requires him to do.
California sued Trump because they hate having their open borders policies challenged. Newsom and his cronies want to keep their sanctuary state status no matter how many Americans get hurt. They’re more interested in protecting criminals than protecting citizens who elected them to office.
This ruling shows how broken our justice system has become under liberal control. One judge in San Francisco thinks he can override the will of the American people and stop a president from enforcing our laws. This is not how our republic is supposed to work, and every patriot should be outraged.
The fight isn’t over yet, and Trump won’t back down from defending America. Real conservatives know that securing our border is the most important job facing our nation today. No liberal judge should be allowed to stop a president from protecting the American people from invasion.
