Lewandowski: Trump’s Tough Stance on Illegal Immigration is Here to Stay

Corey Lewandowski, a top advisor to former President Donald Trump, delivered a strong message to illegal immigrants during a recent appearance on NEWSMAX’s “Saturday Report.” He warned that those breaking U.S. immigration laws will face consequences under Trump’s policies. Lewandowski stressed that the administration’s focus is on securing borders and protecting American communities from crime and economic strain caused by illegal immigration.

Trump’s team has doubled down on plans to finish building the southern border wall. Lewandowski argued that physical barriers are essential to stop drugs, gangs, and unauthorized crossings. He pointed to cities overwhelmed by illegal arrivals, where local resources like hospitals and police departments are stretched thin. Taxpayers, he said, shouldn’t foot the bill for those who bypass legal immigration channels.

The former campaign manager dismissed claims that Trump’s policies are harsh or racist. He emphasized that the U.S. welcomes legal immigrants who contribute to society but has no tolerance for lawbreakers. Lewandowski praised merit-based systems used by countries like Canada and Australia, urging America to prioritize skilled workers who follow the rules.

Addressing the DACA program, Lewandowski acknowledged the plight of those brought to the U.S. illegally as children but insisted border security must come first. He criticized past administrations for failing to fix the system, leading to today’s crisis. Without a wall and stricter enforcement, he warned, the problem will keep growing.

Recent moves by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) align with this push. The agency hired Republican-linked firms to launch a $200 million ad campaign highlighting the dangers of illegal immigration. Ads will air in Latin America, warning migrants about fraudsters and the risks of crossing the border illegally.

Lewandowski also highlighted stories of Americans harmed by illegal immigrant crime, like the killing of California police officer Ronil Singh. He blamed weak immigration checks and “catch-and-release” policies for allowing dangerous individuals to stay. Under Trump, he said, raids and deportations will target criminals first.

Conservatives applaud this no-nonsense approach, arguing it puts American safety and jobs first. They believe strict enforcement, combined with legal reforms, will restore order. Polls show many voters agree, tired of border chaos and rising costs linked to illegal immigration.

As the 2024 election heats up, Trump’s team vows to make immigration a central issue. Lewandowski’s fiery remarks signal a return to hardline policies, with a clear message: follow the law, or face the consequences. For conservatives, it’s a promise of security and sovereignty after years of open borders.
