LA’s Metro: A $100 Billion Train Wreck Built for Elites, Not Families

The Big Apple’s subway may be old and crowded, but LA’s Metro is a mess of bad planning and wasted money. While New Yorkers gripe about delays, Angelenos sit stuck in traffic wondering why their trains don’t work. The truth? Liberal leaders built a system for downtown elites instead of real people.

LA used to have the world’s best transit with private Red Cars serving regular folks. Then big government wrecked it. Today’s Metro spends billions on empty trains that stop where politicians want, not where workers live. It’s a welfare program for contractors, not a solution for moms driving kids to soccer practice.

New York’s subway at least takes you somewhere useful. LA’s trains dump everyone in crime-ridden downtown while ignoring the suburbs. That’s what happens when coastal elites design transit to push their “live in crowded cities” agenda. Real Americans want to drive their trucks from affordable homes to good jobs – not squeeze into dirty rail cars.

The Metro’s former bosses admit they built the system backwards. Instead of connecting neighborhoods, they created a tourist toy for visiting celebrities. Now they want more tax hikes to fix their mistakes. Typical California – burn cash on bad ideas, then demand working families pay again to clean up the mess.

While New York’s subway rots from years of Democrat neglect, LA proves government can’t fix what it breaks. Every new rail line takes decades and goes billions over budget. Meanwhile, China builds entire systems in five years. America’s red tape is strangling progress while our roads clog with traffic.

The solution isn’t more trains – it’s freedom. Let private companies compete to move people efficiently. Cut regulations so buses can take new routes overnight instead of waiting for union approvals. Use technology, not taxes, to match riders with drivers. Government monopolies always fail. Free markets always win.

LA’s Metro disaster shows what happens when coastal liberals ignore heartland values. Real transit serves people where they live, respects private property, and doesn’t force folks out of their cars. Until California stops pushing green fantasies and starts listening to middle America, their trains will keep running empty.

New York might have potholes and delays, but at least their subway serves a real city. LA’s Metro is a woke monument to failed big government – a $100 billion reminder that you can’t tax your way to common sense. Hardworking Americans deserve better than empty platforms and wasted paychecks. It’s time for change.
