Kristi Noem: Border Security Key to Keeping America Safe

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says the terrorist threat facing America is very real. She warned that dangers like radicalized criminals and attacks on infrastructure could happen anywhere. Noem stressed that President Trump’s policies are keeping families safe by cracking down on illegal immigration and deporting violent gang members.

Noem called the southern border the top security priority. Under Trump, border crossings dropped to a 15-year low. She credits this to tough new rules and ads telling illegal immigrants to leave now or face deportation. The ads ran worldwide, warning criminals not to break U.S. laws.

The Secretary announced over 120 terrorists and 800 gang members have been deported. She visited a prison in El Salvador where violent criminals sent from America are locked up. Noem said this shows consequences for breaking immigration laws. “Do not come here illegally,” she warned. “You will be removed.”

Democrats criticized Noem for focusing too much on the border. They accused her of ignoring homegrown terrorism. Noem fired back, saying securing the border stops criminals before they strike. She promised to protect cities from threats while following Trump’s America First plan.

After a truck attack in New Orleans killed 14 people, Noem helped tighten Super Bowl security. She worked with local leaders to add barriers and extra police. Noem said events like the Super Bowl need strong protection. “Safety can’t be political,” she stated.

The Secretary warned that countries like China target U.S. power grids and water systems. Her team is working with companies to block foreign hackers. Noem said cyberattacks could cripple communities. She vowed to hunt down anyone threatening American infrastructure.

Some activists claim immigration raids target innocent people. Noem denied this, saying only violent criminals face deportation. She praised Trump for putting victims’ families first. “We’re removing predators who murder and rape,” Noem said. “That’s justice.”

Noem pledged to keep enforcing immigration laws. She said self-deporting saves lives and tax dollars. The Secretary urged Congress to support Trump’s border policies. “We will make America safe again,” Noem declared. “No excuses, no apologies.”
