Because he exposes the truth in an unvarnished and apolitical manner, Joe Rogan enrages the left. Millions of people throughout the globe pay heed to his message because he gets right to the heart of the matter without any ideological pretensions.
On the heels of a mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas last week, the host of the Joe Rogan Experience is taking a stance in the battle over gun control.
Anyone with a viewpoint on the subject has jumped right in, and Joe Rogan just so happened to be on the right side.
On Thursday’s edition of his podcast, Rogan acknowledged that the answer to mass shootings in the United States is riddled with debate and raises a number of problems. But one liberal idea given by Rogan is off-limits, and would be catastrophic if permitted to materialize, in his view.
According to the podcaster, government tyranny would ensue if weapons were confiscated from the population.
Lex Fridman, an artificial intelligence podcaster, was a guest on the podcast, and Rogan referred to a tweet he sent in 2013.
“The situation is, should you be able to own a gun to defend yourself if you’re a law-abiding citizen and you know that the police are horribly understaffed and you know that crime and violence are real things?” Rogan was perplexed and inquired.
Fridman also agreed that the conversation over gun control should center on mental health.
As Fridman put it, “There’s people sort of leverag[ing] these tragedies to make some kind of political statement.”
Biden’s Justice Department has initiated an inquiry into Uvalde’s law enforcement reaction to the Robb Elementary School tragedy, which left 21 people dead, including 19 children and two teachers, over the weekend. The probe was requested by Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin.
Some of the details of the incident have started to emerge, and many people are still scratching their heads as to what really transpired.
