Ignored Genocide: Christians and Yazidis Still Suffer in Silence

The persecution of Iraq’s Christians and Yazidis by ISIS was real genocide. Their communities faced slaughter, slavery, and forced conversions. While the world debates other conflicts, these ancient peoples suffered actual ethnic cleansing that continues today.

Islamic State terrorists marked Christian homes with the letter “N” for extermination. They gave believers a horrific choice: convert, pay taxes, flee, or die. Entire villages emptied as radicals destroyed churches and crucified clergy. This was a deliberate campaign to erase Christianity from its homeland.

For Yazidis, ISIS planned pure genocide. They murdered thousands of men and older women, dumping bodies in mass graves. Young women and children were sold as slaves. Terrorists destroyed Yazidi temples and holy sites, calling them devil-worshippers. This religious hatred drove their atrocities.

Ten years later, threats persist. US-sanctioned militias like the Babylon Brigade now control Christian towns, preventing families from returning. Church leaders report extortion, land grabs, and violence against believers. The genocide survivors face new tormentors protected by politicians.

Thousands of Yazidi women remain missing, likely still captive in Syria. Their families beg for rescue, but world leaders ignore them. No serious effort exists to recover these innocent souls. The Yazidi cry for justice falls on deaf ears in Western capitals.

Assyrian Christians demand a safe homeland in the Nineveh Plains, their ancestral land. This province would protect them from hostile forces. Yet global powers block this solution, leaving Christians defenseless. Their population has collapsed from constant persecution.

The liberal media obsesses over other conflicts while ignoring this real genocide. They parrot false narratives but stay silent about Christian and Yazidi suffering. This bias exposes their hatred for religious minorities who don’t fit their political agenda.

America must defend these persecuted communities. We should demand action to free Yazidi captives, create a Christian security zone, and sanction their tormentors. Real genocide happened here – our values demand we protect the victims.
